Watch EWTN Tonight for Pontifical Latin Mass!

A reminder that EWTN will broadcast live the Pontifical Latin Mass which His Excellency Bishop Joseph Perry will celebrate at the Cathedral Basilica of Ss Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, for the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and the 10th Anniversary of Summorum Pontificum.

You can also watch on EWTN’s website: http://ewtn.com/multimedia/live.asp; the Mass begins at 7pm EDT. It will re-air at 11PM.

Sacred music for the Mass will include Mozart’s Missa Brevis in C-major, (the “Sparrow” Mass), Elgar’s Ecce Sacerdos Magnus, Monteverdi’s Adoramus te, and John Blow’s Salvator Mundi, in addition to the Gregorian chants.

How can we get a download of Bishop Perry's homily??? A most powerful insight and reality of what the CROSS AND THE CHRISTIAN NEED TO BE. A MEDITATION AND CONTEMPLATION FOR THE YEAR....BY ALL STANDARDS. THE MASS HAS OPENED MY HEART SO PROFOUNDLY. PERHAPS SOME WOULD SAY IT WAS A REALLY LONG MASS. NOT TO ME...THIS MASS IMPRESSED ME AS TO WHAT OUR SALVATION TRULY MEANS IN EVERY FACET OF GODS'LOVE IS FOR EACH ONE OF US. I WAS BROUGHT TO A PLACE OF ADMISSION OF ALL I BELIEVE GOD WANTS OF ME AND OF ALL THAT I LONG TO LIVE FOR HIM BUT HAVE NOT YET ENTERED INTO. MORE THAN EVER AM I GRATEFUL TO KNOW HIM AND LONG FOR HIM WHILE WALKING TOGETHER OUR ROAD TO PERFECT LOVE.

THE BISHOPS' HOMILY WOVE TOGETHER THE MASS IN ALL IT'S DIMENSIONS....IN ALL THAT CHRIST LIVED FROM THE INSTITUTION OF THE EUCHARIST AT TABLE WITH THE APOSTLES TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE RESURRECTION AND OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THANK YOU
