Mark Wahlberg: One of the Few Decent Men In Hollywood

There are not many men in Hollywood today that people can look up to. It seems that Mark Wahlberg has his head on straight. It is great to see a fellow Catholic in his particular state in life trying to live his faith in today's culture.

Seriously? He continues to put out movies like Ted that take the Lord's name in vain over 30 times, use the f-bomb over 50 times, not to mention loads of other terrible language, inappropriate and degrading sexual imagery and language, and he is held up as Catholic champion? For a proper Catholic understanding of movies and media, here's a 8 minute audio sermon by a priest who isn't afraid to tell it like it is: http://www.sensustraditionis.org/webaudio/Sermons/Disk1/Movies.mp3
Don't forget that Mark Wahlberg is also the executive producer of Entourage on HBO - to see how immoral that is: http://www.pluggedin.com/upfront/2006/UsheringEntourageOuttheDoor.aspx
Please do your research before you hold folks up as examples. Just because someone says a few nice things to Piers Morgan means nothing if in their actions they have such a disconnect. I am not saying that I am any different than Mark, that is, a sinner in need of conversion. But please do not hold up folks like this who are already in the public eye as folks to be imitated as solid, Catholic champions.

I never said he was a "Catholic Champion" did I? I said he appears to be a decent guy in Hollywood trying to live his Catholic faith, which s more than can be said for most Hollywood losers.
