Baptist Preacher Calls Christians to Rally Around Pope!
This is something we don't usually hear out of the mouth of a Baptist preacher! "On the contrary, it should embolden us to rally around the Pope and pray that he continues to fight evil with good."News Source here.
Actually, he's an Anabaptist preacher. I've known Baptists all of my life, and none of them would ever ask "Christians to rally around the Pope"! Indeed, most of them are hostile to the Catholic faith like a KKKer is hostile to blacks. Anabaptists don't tend to be that way. They're not wedded to the Lutheran/Calvinist hatred of the Church, becase the founders of the Anabaptists didn't have the emotional and spiritual hang-ups that Luther and Calvin had.
